The dis/assemble dance group warms up on stage at the Wesley Performing Arts Centre in Horsham ‘6’ on tour for the Awakenings Festival

In October 2009 23 dancers, staff and carers from the dis/assemble dance project departed Albury Wodonga to tour the work ‘6’ by Tim Podesta to Horsham in Western Victoria. The dis/assemble dance group were invited to perform ‘6’ at the Awakenings Festival – Australia’s only regional disability arts festival. Palette on the Pier: An Arts Table for 1000On Wednesday 27 October at 7.00pm up to 1,000 diners will sit down to an al fresco degustation dinner on the water's edge at Sydney's historic Walsh Bay. The event will showcase the fine food of Walsh Bay restaurants with wines from the Canowindra region, accompanied by cool jazz. Palette on the Pier – An Arts Table for 1000 is a project of the Walsh Bay Precinct Partnership. All proceeds will support arts and cultural development in regional and remote communities across NSW. The Indigenous Arts and Cultural Development Officer will be responsible for assisting Indigenous communities across regional South Australia in the achievement of their arts and cultural development aspirations. Essential requirements for this position include the ability to work regular out of hours work, regular intrastate travel and good knowledge of Indigenous arts and culture within South Australia. Palette on the Pier - An Arts Table for 1000

On Wednesday 27 October 2010 up to 1000 diners will sit down to an al fresco degustation dinner on the water's edge of the historic shipping wharf at Sydney's Walsh Bay. The event will showcase the fine food of the Walsh Bay restaurants with wines from the Canowindra region, accompanied by cool jazz and an auction of exquisite regional art works. Regional Arts NSW is thrilled to be the beneficiary of funds raised by the inaugural Palette on the Pier, which is set to become a premier annual event on the Sydney arts calendar. Regional Arts NSW welcomes Western Riverina announcement

The Chair of Regional Arts NSW, Meg Larkin, has welcomed the announcement by the NSW Arts Minister, Virginia Judge, to commit funding to establish a new regional arts board to service the communities of Griffith, Leeton and Narrandera in the Western Riverina area of NSW. “This board will fill a significant gap in the service delivery of arts and cultural development across the state.
