On Wednesday 27 October at 7.00pm up to 1,000 diners will sit down to an al fresco degustation dinner on the water's edge at Sydney's historic Walsh Bay. The event will showcase the fine food of Walsh Bay restaurants with wines from the Canowindra region, accompanied by cool jazz. Palette on the Pier – An Arts Table for 1000 is a project of the Walsh Bay Precinct Partnership. All proceeds will support arts and cultural development in regional and remote communities across NSW. Country Arts SA is seeking applications from highly motivated and energetic people for the position of Indigenous Arts and Cultural Development Officer. The Indigenous Arts and Cultural Development Officer will be responsible for assisting Indigenous communities across regional South Australia in the achievement of their arts and cultural development aspirations. Essential requirements for this position include the ability to work regular out of hours work, regular intrastate travel and good knowledge of Indigenous arts and culture within South Australia. The Chair of Regional Arts NSW, Meg Larkin, has welcomed the announcement by the NSW Arts Minister, Virginia Judge, to commit funding to establish a new regional arts board to service the communities of Griffith, Leeton and Narrandera in the Western Riverina area of NSW. “This board will fill a significant gap in the service delivery of arts and cultural development across the state.
