Troy Emery “Wild Thing VIII” 2011, Polyurethane, glue, tassle fringing, Photograph: Michael Myers

7 December 2011 - 12 January 2012

An exhibition with many of the works immediately identifiable as everyday objects – a shoe, a basket, food, clothing, furniture - some even perfectly functional, however, it is on closer inspection that one discovers a peculiar twist and their true identity in the actual make up of the works. The unusual materials used are a part of the story, often a concern for the environment – land management, recycling – or an enquiry about or fascination for something about which the artist craves a better understanding, encouraging the viewer to do the same.
