TRIBUTARIES & SIDESTREAMS

Tributary - n., 1. A stream contributing its flow to a larger stream or other body or water.
2. Another reason to register for Groundswell, q.v.

Following each plenary session, Groundswell offers a choice of Tributaries and Sidestreams: a diverse range of workshops, showcases, forums, clinics or cultural tours providing opportunities for you to explore the sources of great ideas in regional arts development around Australia. 'On the ground' work in projects, programs, training, research, policy development, communications, protocols, skills development and planning processes feeds the larger bodies of thought on regional arts development, just as tributaries feed into larger bodies of water.

Ask your burning questions of the keynote speakers. Find out how to engage with Indigenous communities or how to develop your festival or event program … and manage the risks. Hear how some local councils have addressed arts and cultural life in their communities. Perhaps you're interested in physical theatre, or the built environment, public art, or … there are so many choices to make. And hey, if your brain is weary and you'd like to chill out left of field, try doing something you've never done before like breakdancing, hip hop, some tattoo body art, photography or performance activity.
