Albury/Wodonga
- $2,920 to Creators Artspace for Place Made in Print. An artist-in-residency at Creators print workshop will produce a series of prints that explore and express the essence and spirit of the Gateway Village Arts precinct, ending with a 2 day workshop that includes a group of geographically isolated women artists from Jingellic, NSW.
- $1,500 to Greater Hume Shire Council - Holbrook Office for School Holiday Art & Music workshops. The shire will conduct holiday art and music programs for children and youth providing a holiday activity for children and teenagers and increasing the communities exposure to cultural events.
- $3,000 to Greater Hume Shire Council - Holbrook Office for In the Bin Short Film Festival & Educational Program. Young people from the Shire will work with In the Bin artists to learn the principles of making short films. They will develop their own short film which will then be shown to the community at a short film festival
- $3,000 to Foster Carers Support Group for Art Therapy for Carers. Six week Art Therapy course for foster carers with the created artworks exhibited in the Community Exhibition Space at Albury Library and Museum during Foster Care Week in September.
- $3,000 to Greater Hume Shire Council - Holbrook Office for Against the Grain Rural Drama Camp. 3 day residential camp delivering professional developmental and educational drama experiences for rural and regional youth. The program includes workshops for primary school students and professional development for rural and regional drama teachers.
- $2,250 to Write Around the Murray Festival Committee for Maps Alive. Writer and oral historian, Jane Downing will work with the community of Lavington (a northern suburb of Albury) to map their thoughts, feelings and memories of their suburb and community. A large scale map of Lavington will be created to act as the canvas for community members to overlay their writings and drawings, scribbles and marks.

Central West
- $1,000 to Parkes Musical & Dramatic Society for Regional Youth Drama Workshop. Professionally tutored regional youth drama workshop for junior members of regional theatre societies in the Arts OutWest area, improving stagecraft skills in drama, dance and music.
- $1,000 to Bead and Wirecraft Guild Inc for Lampwork Workshop. Pauline Delaney will teach flamework beads, shaping and sculpture glass at Bathurst in June 2009.
- $500 to Wollemi Children's Creative Arts Committee for Winter Holiday Art Workshops. A variety of creative arts workshops for children aged 7-17 years. These workshops will be presented by two visiting and nine local artists who will facilitate sessions in painting, drawing, mixed media, textiles, sculpture, craft, calligraphy and cake decorating.
- $600 to Mitchell Conservatorium Inc - Lachlan Division for Dr Music and the Con Kids on Tour. Doug Richards and Catherine Arthurson, teachers at the Conservatorium, will take their jazz band, which include five Con students, on tour to play and workshop students in remote areas.
- $1,000 to Kandos Youth Activity Centre for Spiel Shop 2. Two local drama tutors will deliver weekly drama classes to approximately 20 children of primary school age at the Kandos Youth Activity Centre after school hours. The work will culminate in a performance to relatives and friends in October 2009.
- $1,000 to Mudgee Readers Festival for Mudgee Readers Festival. Mudgee Readers Festival will celebrate the joy of reading by exposing both adults and children to a range of high quaility authors. The event will be held in Mudgee and Gulgong over September 11-12, 2009.
- $1,620 to West Burralgang Aboriginal Dance for Migagalangbu Yinaagalangbu Waganha. Aboriginal girls and young women of primary and high school age in the Central West region will be taught Aboriginal cultural songs and dances based on Wiradjuri women's traditional culture by Fleur Magick from Burralgang Aboriginal Dance.
- $500 to Bathurst Public School P&C Association for Indigenous Artist in Residence/ Mural Project to Celebrate NAIDOC Week. Employment of indigenous artist William 'Bubba' Kennedy to work in residence in the school to create a mural and educate students in his methods and stories.
- $800 to Oberon Arts Council Inc. for Embossing Plaques for Pioneer Memory Wall. Employment of artist Gabriella Hegyes to develop Pioneer Memory Walls on the Oberon Common, recording in art the story of Oberon. She will run workshops to develop emobossed relief forms of local pioneering families, flora and fauna (espeically endangered) for permanant placement on the walls.
- $1,500 to Blayney Public School Parent Club (on behalf of Heritage Schools Cluster) for Heritage Schools Writing Project. Author and literacy consultant Paul Stafford will facilitate writing workshops in five schools throughout the Blayney region that fall within the Heritage Schools Cluster.
- $1,000 to Lachlan Arts Council for The Surf to Dirt Palette. To provide professional tutors to rural and remote artists who do not have acess to high quality training. The tutors are from Kiama and have formed a strong relationship over the past two years with Condobolin and Lake Cargelligo artists.
- $650 to Lithgow Community Choir for Knock On Effect. A thirteen week program of two-hourly singing workshops for the Lithgow Community including people with disabilities from boarding houses and group homes, with the view to forming a choir.
- $1,000 to Ceramic Focus Group for Artist in Residence. Local Gulgong ceramic artist Susan Bridgford will work with gifted and talented year 7 to 11 students developing their skills in hand building, wheel throwing and ceramic firing techniques. The program will be held at Gulgong High School in terms 1, 2 and 3 of 2009.
- $400 to Cowra Regional Art Gallery for Artist Workshops and Public Talks. This project is the presentation of two distinctive programs of workshops/ public talks at the Cowra Regional Art Gallery for local artists, teachers and art enthusiasts.
- $500 to Mullion Creek Public School P&C for Mullion Murals. Art boards depicting the rural theme of the area will be created by students under guidance of art teacher and permanently displayed around the village area on sides of private, public and community buildings for general audience, passing traffic and local residents and wider community.
- $1,000 to Cumnock & District Progress Association for 'Animals on Bikes' Paddock Art. 120km art tourist trail depicting 2m high metal sculptures featuring 'Animals on Bikes' in the paddocks along Obley Rd from Molong, Cumnock, Yeoval and Dubbo. A community oriented art project with masterpeices displayed at the opening in September.

- $540 to Tumbarumba Artists on Parade Co-Op Ltd. for Botanical Art Workshops. Narelle Thomas will conduct a 2 day botanical drawing workshop followed by a 2 day botanical watercolour painting workshop and a week long exhibition of workshop achievements.

- $500 to Coonamble Garden Club for Creative Garden Art. A mosaic workshop to create garden art.
- $1,124 to Cobar Arts Council for Musica Viva - Papalote. Public concert featuring ensemble.
- $1,500 to Two Eight Two Eight INC for Tim Winters Art Project 2009. Four day lino printmaking workshop.
- $1,000 to Coonamble Streets Ahead Committee for Critical Stages 'No Chance in Hell'. Live comedy theatre production by Critical Stages.
- $2,000 to Brewarrina Shire Council for NSW Indigenous Art Exhibition. Assistance with costs associated with bringing the exhibition of the 2008 Parliament of NSW Indigenous Art Prize to Brewarrina.

Mid North Coast
- $1,500 to Port Macquarie Hastings Council for Holiday Workshops with an Aboriginal Perspective. Dalang GaRumba in partnership with PMH Library will implement 6 Cultural Workshops during NAIDOC (Jul school holidays) and Hastings Festival of Stories (Oct school holidays).
- $1,549 to Yarrawarra Aboriginal Corporation for Exploring Aboriginal Culture through Art. A two-day workshop at Corindi Beach to experience Aboriginal culture through art. Participants will be given their own canvas and materials to explore the diversity of Aboriginal culture.
- $1,000 to Manning Entertainment Centre for I am Jack. To present 'I am Jack', produced by Monkey Baa Theatre, a play that deals with split families, sibling rivalry and school bullying.
- $2,975 to Port Macquarie Hastings Council for "Take the Stage", a partnership with Monkey Baa Theatre. Monkey Baa Theatre for Young People will become "Resident Company" during the opening month of the Glasshouse, conducting workshops for students, teachers and local artists as well as travelling to schools to share their skills.
- $2,000 to MiiMi (Mothers) Aboriginal Corporation for Jammin' with Jumbaal Dreamin'. Workshops to develop performance skills in both music and dance for young people held in conjunction with a TAFE outreach project. The workshops will lead into a performance at the Bowraville Theatre for NAIDOC week in July 09.
- $3,000 to Tinonee Public School P & C Association for Biripi Totem Sculpture of a Shark. Robert Saunders, a Biripi elder, will sculpt a public wooden totem of a shark for the community to be located at the entrance to the village of Tinonee.
- $1,500 to Myall Coast Arts Network (MCAN) for Youth Drama Workshops. MCAN will provide an opportunity for local isolated youth to participate in a series of drama workshops during the winter school holidays, culminating in a public performance.
- $1,500 to Kempsey Writers Group for Mum's the Word. Compilation of a collection of stories from the residents of the Macleay Valley about the varied lives of their mothers, with the aim of publication.

- $2,000 to Light'n Up Productions for Art of Fire: Artist in Residency with Rusty Kilpatrick. Light'n Up are inviting Rusty Kilpatrick, a practising artist specialising in fire performance, to be Artist in Residence, working with the Light'n Up team at their Lismore workshop, leading up to the finale performance of the 2009 Lismore Lantern Parade on 20 June.
- $3,000 to Ukitopia Arts Collective for Youth Arts Weekend. Series of creative arts workshops culminating in the Youth Arts Weekend Festival, May 16/17, at Uki sports ground.
- $1,485 to Byron United for ArtsCape Sculpture Festival. 12 day outdoor sculpture event in October including an exhibition of approximately 50 regional state and national professional sculptors, youth community art projects, and various other smaller events.
- $1,200 to Cape Byron Rudolf Steiner School (P+F Committee) for Between the Lines and the Spaces. Members of the Sunwrae Ensemble will conduct music and multimedia workshops for students of local schools. Selected students perform original piece/own compositions at Sunwrae Ensemble performance.
- $1,800 to INTRA (Insight Network Treatment Axis) for Memories of Grog: a screen printing project for Aboriginal women. A six-week screen printing skills building workshop in Byron Bay for Aboriginal women from Casino to offer a new way of expression and exploration of the role of alcohol in the women's lives. The works will be exhibited at The Oaks Community Centre in Casino, and used as a vehicle for community awareness of this important issue.
- $2,850 to Word of Mouth Productions for Shotgun Wedding - Performance and Performance Poetry Workshops. A theatrical performance of HSC poems, around the theme "Belonging," will be developed. Directed by Des James, performed by local artists Philip Keith, Stacey Page, Ajita Cannings, and designed by Genevieve Dugard. At least 15 performances will take place in high schools across the Northern Rivers, and for the public between May and October 2009.
- $2,000 to Ballina Shire Council for Artist in Residence. Indigenous artist Penny Evans will work for two weeks as Artist in Residence at the Northern Rivers Community Gallery.

- $2,000 to Gilgandra Alive Inc. for Celebrate Gilgandra. Two performances of "The weather and your health" by Bethany Simons on 9 & 10 May 2009. Performance to be accompanied by historical display and old-time dance music.
- $1,000 to Dubbo Artz Incorporated for "Menopause the Musical" production. To bring 'Menopause the Musical' show from Melbourne's HIT productions on Tuesday 8 September.
- $1,000 to Dunedoo Woodland Learning Centre for Walk on the Wild Side. Corrugated iron native animal sculptures will be created by David Sherlock during youth workshop and displayed at Dunedoo Woodland Learning Centre.
- $631 to Gilgandra Photographers for Life West of the Warrumbungles - workshops and exhibition. Three photographic workshops focusing on portraiture, photoshop and black and white photography with exhibition in March 2010.
- $1,000 to Orana Country Music Association for Songwriter's Professional Development Roger Corbett and Amanda O'Brien to conduct workshop on 24 October focussing on taking songs to the next level, networking, critique, promotion and showcase performance on 25 October.
- $1,575 to Barnardos Gilgandra for The Dreaming Project. A group of 10-15 young people at Gilgandra High School will undertake a mentoring program comprising a series of mosaic and art workshops and showcase exhibition.
- $2,900 to Baradine Progress Association Inc. for Step Back in time - Digital Storytelling Project Research and multi-media workshops in Baradine involving secondary students and community gathering images and recordings to develop a website and town walk brochure.
- $1,000 to Coolah District Development Group Inc for CoolART arts planning officer. Recruiting an arts planning officer to work with the CoolART committee - preparing a professional plan, community consultation and compiling ideas for development of public art in Coolah.
- $1,000 to Midnite Cafe for The Midnite Special. The Midnite Special' will invite two professional musical groups 'The Trivs' and 'Ben Marston 12 Tone Family' to Dubbo to perfom life and engage with local community through workshops and performance 11 July and 26 September.
- $1,000 to Red Ochre Events Incorporated for Country Outcasts Resurrection. Concert performance and workshop by one of Australia's foremost Aboriginal country/folk music bands, the Country Outcasts, at the Red Ochre Festival.
- $1,000 to Dubbo Jazz Club Inc. for James LeFevre Student Workshops - Modern Jazz - Improvisation / Composition. James LeFevre and four band members will conduct five two hour workshops on modern Jazz Improvisation/Composition.
- $918 to The Mendooran Singers for Two Choral Workshops for the Mendooran Singers. Two vocal workshops to be held on Saturday 18 April and 13 June 2009 with Brenda Lesueur vocal teacher.

- $500 to South West Music Inc. for Grand Cabaret Performance. 3 day Grand Cabaret Performance for local students and community members.
- $2,320 to Balranald Community Arts & Craft Inc for What to do with Paper and Glue. Creative writing workshop with Paul Stafford as part of four-day program towards developing puppetry production.
- $950 to Deniliquin Menshed Deniliquin for Menshed Art Appreciation. Design and construction of children's outdoor furniture for Intereach children centre.
- $1,500 to Moulamein School P & C Association for Moulamein hosting Opera OZ Performing arts production of OZ Opera to be presented to Moulamein and district students.

- $1,500 to Bushbaby Productions for A Colonial Woman. To develop the first draft script from the novel "The Colonial Woman" by Patricia Clarke, leading to new work based on a local historical figure - Mary Braidwood Mowie.

- $1,500 to Lieder Theatre Company for The Colour Play. Three professional artsworkers to develop and create an original performance, exploring tolerance and conflict in a culturally diverse rural community, using non-verbal commedia form.
- $1,500 to Braidwood Music Alliance for Youth song writing, recording, and production workshops. Series of three workshops for young people, and involving local musicians, artists and writers.
- $2,000 to Yass Valley Council for Poetry: The Indelible Stencil. Development of poetry and public art, showcasing the work of poets in the STARTS region.
- $1,724 to Gunning Focus Group for Gunning Community Public Art Project. Mural of Holden cars to be painted by Peter Ty on 8 tin panels and attached to external wall of local garage.

- $800 to Broken Hill Eisteddfod Society Inc. for Eisteddfod 2009 Gala Concert 40 Years. Presentation of Gala Concert and Workshops from adjudicators who will be in attendance.
- $1,250 to Gaara Arts for Patchwork Tracings. Visual artist, Wendy Teakel, will work with ten Broken Hill women artists for two days to investigate dry and wet mediums and found materials.
- $1,500 to White Cliffs Country Womens Association Incorporated for Expressing creativity through Silk. CWA members and residents will undertake a basic silk painting workshop in White Cliffs.
- $1,334 to Broken Hill Philharmonic Society for A Choral Workshop with George Torbay. Workshop for singers and choirleaders with George Torbay.
- $1,500 to Broken Hill Potters Society for Working with Clay. Two day workshop in the use of and techniques with a gas kiln.
- $1,500 to Broken Hill Writers Centre (City Council) for Showcasing Local Writers in Regional NSW. Writers and poets will travel to Tibooburra to perform/recite original works at the annual Tibooburra festival.
- $1,500 to The Milparinka Heritage and Tourism Association Incorporated for Evelyn Creek Mosaic Workshop. Two day workshop to develop a large community arts project depicting the interaction between local people and Evelyn Creek.
- $1,500 to Tibooburra & District Progress Association for Tibooburra Dancing Under The Stars Festival. Travel assistance for a variety of dance groups, poets and a 4 piece band to perform at Tibooburra annual festival in June 2009.
- $2,140 to The Broken Hill Trades Hall Trust for Commemoration of 1909 Lock-out. Curator to attend and oversee the Centenary exhibition of nationally significant flags, archives, timelines, oral histories and songs of the 1909 Lock-out at Broken Hill.
