Regional Arts NSW to conduct grant writing workshops in February

Regional Arts NSW will be conducting grant writing workshops in the Central Orana, Illawarra/Shoalhaven and the Far North Coast regions this February in the lead up to the 2003 Country Arts Support Program (CASP) deadline on 14 March 2003.

Resulting from a recommendation by the State CASP Assessment Committee, the aim of the three workshops is to provide assistance to prospective applicants to the three grant programs managed by Regional Arts NSW - CASP, Quick Turnaround Grants and the Regional Arts Fund. Accordingly, they are to be offered to representatives from community organisations only.

The dates for the workshops are as follows:

CENTRAL ORANA
Saturday 1 February 9:00am to 4:00pm
Narromine Services Club
58 Dandaloo Street, Narromine

ILLAWARRA / SHOALHAVEN
Wednesday 5 February 9:00am to 4:00pm
Shoalhaven City Council
Bridger Road, Nowra

FAR NORTH COAST
Saturday 15 February 9:00am to 4:00pm
Ballina Beach Resort
Compton Drive, East Ballina

The workshops will be delivered by the Regional Arts NSW's Funding & Research Officer, Michele Elliot and Business & Finance Manager, Kyrin Vea Vea. They will address areas of planning; interpreting guidelines and criteria; budgets and support material. Michele and Kyrin will also be available for individual appointments to discuss project ideas and applications with community groups.

Regional Arts NSW staff will be joined by representatives from Community Cultural Development NSW (CCDNSW) for the workshop in Nowra on 5 February, when there will be an additional session looking at other programs, particulary the NSW Ministry for the Arts and Australia Council CCD programs.
