ALBURY WODONGA
$3,000 to Albury Central Inc for the Applause Festival - As part of the Festival's early evening entertainment, a professional "headline" act will be secured to draw the day's activities to a celebratory conclusion in QEII Square.
$2,224 to Albury Regional Art Gallery for Kidspace - An artist-in-residence working with young children for a week of hands-on activities, leading to an inaugural exhibition with the working title 'I Like Monsters'. This project will be part of the launch of the new, permanent, Children's Art Space at the Albury Regional Art Gallery.
$1,325 to Children's Week Working Committee for Pupperty During Children's Week - Running in conjunction with Albury City 'Children's Week Expo' these puppetry workshops and performances will encourage alternative story telling skills for parents, early childhood staff and Charles Sturt University students.
$2,145 to Murray Arts Inc for Wild on the Border Songwriting Project - The 'Rhythm and Rhyme' song writing project will bring an experienced music facilitator, a percussionist and local people with disabilities together to learn song writing, music and percussion skills as part of the 'Wild on the Border' program.
$3,000 to Murray Arts Inc for The Fridge MKII - Re-development of the Murray Arts web based calendar of events www.thefridge.org.au. Intrinsic Media's creative team will use the latest web technology to create a visually pleasing, full interactive and easy to use site
$2360 to Murray Arts Inc for The Banquet Multicultural Choir - Development of a multicultural choir that combines traditional songs, food and stories from a variety of CALD community groups. The project will employ a choral director, songwriter and local choir leader to teach, mentor and develop the skills of local singers, leading to a sustainable Community Choir.

$3,000 to Bathurst Regional Art Gallery for Bathurst: Our Community - Local Aboriginal photographer Carmen Sharah will photograph and compile audio taped stories of local Aboriginal people for NAIDOC Week
$1,000 to Bathurst Theatre Company for Children/Family Theatre Production - To engage a young emerging professional director to direct a play for performance in December 06.
$700 to Cowra Art Gallery for Japanese Scroll-making with Mary Taguchi - Mary will instruct youth in traditional scroll-making as part of school holiday workshop program, using traditional materials, inks and brushes.
$1,034 to Lachlan Arts Council for Portraiture Workshops - Portraiture workshop and exhibition project with local artists and Jeannie Littlewood, depicting well-known local identities.
$1,500 to Orange City Council (Youth Services) for Hip-Hop workshops - Hip-hop music creation workshops conducted by Local Knowledge during Youth Week. Will feature scratching, recording, lyrical composition and song structure.
$2,000 to Stuck in the Mud Productions for The Land of La - To tour Land of La to the western communities of the CW. A musical theatre production aimed at 4-8yr olds

EASTERN RIVERINA
$870 to Amy Hurd Child Care Centre for Paint the Shed - A mural project with children at the Amy Hurd Child Care Centre to paint the Shed.
$800 to Bendick Murrell Primary P&C for Tile Making Project - Art Workshops using tiles to be used to decorate the newly constructed tea room attached to the St Andrew's Church
$1,500 to Festival of the Falling Leaf for Insecta - INSECTA ! An Original outdoor theatre event spectacular for the 2006 Tumut Falling Leaf Festival that involves local young performers, dancers, musicians.
$950 to Harden/Murrumburrah Arts Council for Youth Week Workshops - A series of art workshops for upper primary and lower secondary students for National Youth Week 2006.
$2,000 to Junee Shire Council for Track - Youth Mentoring Program with visual artists Phil Newman and Chris Dale. The aim of the project is to develop the skills of the young people in the region and contribute to a Public Art project for the broader community.
$480 to Leisure Company for Mosaic Madness - To conduct a series of mosaic workshops with people with disability under the guidance of local artists to develop mosaic mirrors and a wall mural.
$2,500 to Murrumbidgee Magic for The Idea of the North - To bring The Idea of North, one of Australia's foremost Acapella ensembles to Wagga Wagga to conduct a vocal workshop for the local and regional singers as well as Murrumbidgee Magic a 28 member female barbershop chorus in Wagga Wagga. The workshops will conclude with a performance.
$1,000 to Riverina Young Peoples Theatre for Outreach Programs - Outreach Program involving a series of drama workshops for young people throughout the southern areas of Wagga and Mount Austin/Tolland Area.
$1,000 to St Andrews Anglican Church for Up-2-Date Exhibition - An Art Exhibition to showcase and celebrate the creativity of artists in the Coolamon Shire and surrounding regions.
$900 to Temora/West Wyalong Piano Students for Piano Workshops - A series of Piano Workshops and master classes with piano examiners as an opportunity to get constructive feedback.
$1,500 to Wagga Arts Society for Fine Arts Workshop - Fine Art workshops for the community interested in developing skills and extending knowledge in this area.
$1,500 to Wagga Space Program for Experimental Sound Workshops - A series of workshops and concerts as an audience and skills development strategy that will lead up to the Unsound Festival in November 2006.

FAR WEST
$750 to Bourke Arts Council for "Lonely Horses" Workshops & Tour - Community workshops with Tonchi Mcintosh, Andrew Hull and Mick Daley (The Re'mains") on song, poetry & theatre using local histories at Nymagee followed by a 'one horse' town tour through remote far west NSW communities, culminating in a performance.
$1,660 to Brewarrina Shire Council (Youth Centre) for Drumming in Bre - Workshops on drumming with Bre Youth using drums produced within ArtStart last year culminating in a community performance by participants.
$1,500 to Lightning Ridge Arts & Crafts Council Inc for Waste 2 Art - A series of workshops exposing the community at large to a variety of art mediums and techniques related to 'found' and 'waste' materials with a view toward producing works for entrance in the 2006 Waste 2 Art competition.
$750 to Mallee Hen Cooperation Ltd - Nymagee Outback Music Festival for Femmes Fatales - "Femme Fatales" Performance/workshops in a diverse original music experience promoting women and youth culture at the 2006 Nymagee Outback Music Festival.
$1,000 to Mt Grenfell Historic Site Board of Management for Ngiyampaa Workshops & Performance - A 3 Day traditional dance workshop during NAIDOC week with professional traditional group "Thullii Dreamtime Performers" and local Ngiyampaa Aboriginal people to culminate in a performance at 2nd Anniversary celebration of the Handback of the Mount Grenfell.
$1,500 to Ngadrri Ngalli Way Inc for Indigenous Dance Group - A series of traditional Indigenous Dance Workshops with local dancers and community to support and develop a professional performance at Bourke's annual Indigenous Cultural Festival, Yaamma.
$1,660 to Nyngan Arts Council for "Bogan Booty Shake" Dance Workshop - Dance classes for dance enthusiasts in Nyngan and surrounding district access to dance classes.

$1,000 to Warren Arts Council for Outdoor Performance of Co-Opera's "Don Giovanni": "Mozart Under Moonlight" - An open-air picnic style event featuring Co-Opera's production of Mozart's Don Giovanni.
$1,000 to Warren Shire Council for My Warren - A project targeting young people which involves: an art competition to produce a design which represents what Warren means to me, an associated community art workshop, and the transformation of winning designs by a professional graphic designer for public display.

MID NORTH COAST
$1,640 to Bellingen Shire Council for Dorrigo Youth Services for DYS Digital Art Project - Series of 3 workshops exploring youth issues through the medium of Digital Photography resulting in a Public exhibition of the outcomes.
$1,500 to Camden Haven Music Festival Inc for Camden Haven Music Festival Fringe - To present a Fringe Festival for the Camden Haven Community alongside the formal CHMF. Fringe events will be free, presented in central location, and showcase predominantly Local Music/Musicians
$1,500 to Goori Broadcasters for Rockin Corroborree - Showcase of Indigenous Artists from the Nambucca Valley as well as higher profile Artists from outside the region.
$1,000 to Great Lakes Community Resource for Four Fridays of Fame - A skills development project with a focus on performance skills for young musicians in the Great Lakes area.
$1,100 to Kalang Hall Trust for Kalang Circus Camp and Performance - Six day camp teaching school age children and adolescents circus skills culminating in a performance by the Artists and participants.
$1,500 to Kempsey Shire Council for River of Life - To bring together council, community and artists to work towards a public art piece depicting the Macleay River and its value to the community.
$2,100 to Manning Media Co-operative Limited 2BOB Radio for Two Festivals - One Circus - Two/Three in depth circus workshops for current and prospective circus practitioners. Performances linked to two festivals - The Taree Envirofair and Great Lakes Bounty of the Sea festival, over two local government areas.
$1,000 to Manning Valley Middle Eastern Dance Inc for 3rd Mid North Coast Belly Dance Festival - A series of workshops as part of the 3rd Mid North Coast Belly Dance Festival.
$600 to South West Rocks Arts Council for The Cove Chamber Orchestra - To provide the community with the opportunity to experience the classical music of a string quartet

$438 to Woolgoolga Art Group for Smoked Fired Pottery - Eight day workshop to teach the techniques of smoke fired pottery to encourage this technique amongst members of the Woolgoolga Art Group.

NORTH WEST
$2,000 to Challenge Armidale for Celebrate - Visual Arts Workshops lead by Barbara Mackay for people with disability, resulting in an exhibition of the artworks produced.
$1,200 to Coledale Community Group for Musicianship Workshops - Music Workshops in guitar, vocals, drums and songwriting for indigenous youth.
$800 to Glenn Innes Arts Gallery Society for Visual arts Workshop Weekend - A series of workshops of three weekends with professional artists to develop skills in solar etching, dynamic drawing and oil sticks.
$1,000 to Hunter/New England Health Service for Smooth Expressions - An art therapy program for an existing targeted group of youths who have experienced mental illness within the Armidale Community.
$800 to New England Bach Festival for Baroque Music and Dance Workshops - Master classes featuring performers from the Brisbane based group New Holland Barque for advanced students, Two baroque dance workshops for primary and lower secondary students.
$1,500 to New England Writers Centre for New England Writers Centre - Providing online literary workshop for young people in outlying areas, using the Department of Education's system.
$1,000 to New England Art Society for Visual Art Workshops - A series of nine visual art Workshops culminating in an exhibition at the New Engalnd Arts Society.
$600 to New England Conservatorium of Music for Idea of North Choral Workshops - Vocal workshops for choirs and singing students, prior to their Musica Viva concert. Workshops to be conducted by an acapella group from Canberra and Sydney.
$500 to New England Conservatorium of Music for Recorder and Flute Workshops - Recorder and Flute Workshops for scholarship students, members of the Armidale Youth Orchestra and other musicians from and throughout the region.
$800 to Rick Hatch- New England Regional Art Museum for Cross Cultural Totem Poles - Community based cross cultural youth project, to work at Weemala Pottery to make and fire ceramic Totem Poles sculpted to represent local native wildlife.
$2,800 to Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music for TOAN National Conference - A series of workshops, presentations and demonstrations for delegates at the TOAN National conference. One presentation will be by the Tamworth Regional Youth Orchestra as a representation of regional Australia.
$2,500 to Two Rivers Arts Council for Dramaturge Workshops - Development of a performance piece in context with the festival of the Sesquicentenary of Gunnedah.

$2,500 to Ballina District Community Services Association for Youth Arts Express - A Youth Art exhibition designed to encourage discussion and thought about contemporary issue and how they affect young people.

$1,000 to Dubbo Art and Craft Society for 2006 Workshops - Skills development workshops in oils, pastels and mixed media for the local visual arts community.
$3,000 to Dubbo Jazz Club for The Sydney Metro Big Band and Student Workshops and Performance - Section Leaders of the Sydney Metro Big Band to hold two workshops plus a showcase performance with students from four local schools, Macquarie Conservatorium and surrounding communities.

$500 to Orana Country Music Association for Songwriters workshops and performance with Alan Cassell - One day workshop in songwriting followed by a showcase performance with multi-award winning Allan Caswell. The workshops will be aimed at budding to experienced writers and musicians.

SOUTH EAST
$1,000 to Bermagui Community Pre-School for Early Childhood Music Awareness - An early childhood music awareness program involving sixty four workshops for pre-school children in Bermagui and Wallaga Lake
$2,000 to Bombala Council for Delegate - Small in Size Big on Creativity - The creation of three mosaic panels to welcome visitors to the village of Bombala . The community will take an active role in the design of the panels through a variety of workshops.
$1,500 to Candelo Arts Society for Woodwind workshop and concert - Woodwind workshop and concert 6-7 May 2006. The workshops will specialise in skills in flute, oboe, clarinet, French Horn and Bassoon.
$1,500 to Far South Coast Community College (Auspicing Kari Yalla) for Sharing Disappearing Heritage Stage 2 - To extend on the first stage of Disappearing Heritage through traditional basket weaving workshops by aboriginal elders to non indigenous community in Wallaga Lake.
$1,000 to Feast of Poetry for Feast of Poetry - To nurture poetry appreciation and expand and broaden the skills of creative writers in the community with emphasis on emerging writers.
$3,000 to FLAKE Film Festival for Short film workshops - To hold a short film workshop and development program for 20 young people between the age of 12 - 25 yrs from the Snowy /Cooma Monaro Region.
$1,500 to Little Yuin Aboriginal Pre-school for Wallaga Lake Maternity Art Project - A series of workshops using multi media art techniques with mothers , children and extended family. The project is a partnership between Little Yuin Aboriginal Pre School and Koori Maternity Access.
$1,500 to Quaama Community Band for Quaama Community Band Development Project - To engage local tutors in music to provide workshops for the ongoing development of the local band.
$1,500 to Spiral Gallery for 'Just Add You' National Youth Week Exhibition - Spiral Gallery will host a series of curated exhibitions to coincide with National Youth Week 2006. The exhibitions will host artwork by young people between the age of 12-25 years.

$500 to Goulburn Library for Lyric Writing Workshops - A series of lyric writing skills promoting literacy and encouraging new skills and talents amongst young people aged 14 to 25 years.
$950 to Goulburn Regional Woodworkers Inc for Beauty of Wood - Hands on two-day workshop covering woodturning, decoration, embellishment and fostering form & design.
$1,500 to Lieder Youth Theatre Company for Dramaturge Workshop - To engage a dramaturge to work with local playwrights on their scripts and to provide a workshop on the role of a dramaturge with members of the Lieder Theatre and Youth Companies.
$900 to New Dalton Community Assoc. auspiced by Gunning Focus Group for Bush Music Concert - Dalton is a community shaken by four suicides in four years. A concert with two esteemed Australian Bush musicians proposed as a means of healing and ongoing community rebuilding.
$2,000 to Picton Public School P&C Association for Round Wall Mosaic - A 3 piece mosaic, designed and created by a local artist which would be attached to the original brick building c1910, left after a fire at the school in 2002. The structure would be a reminder of the heritage of the school.
$2,171 to Queanbeyan Public School P&C for Wakirri Story & Dance Performance - Aboriginal & non-Aboriginal children and their parents will produce a dance, music & art piece as part the National Story Dance project.
$770 to Resource Recovery Centre for RRC GRAF ARTS Environmental Awareness Project - Murals produced by local youth GRAF artists to raise awareness on issues of waste reduction and resource recovery. The murals will be exhibited on series of car bonnets in the community.
$691 to Southern Highlands Group, The Embroiders Guild NSW INC for Tiptoe thru the Tulips', Festival of Embroidery - including workshops - The festival of Embroidery has as a starting point, the annual Exhibition of the Group, traditionally held at Tulip Time. To develop this event over this (our fledgling) year and succeeding years to incorporate a number of existing groups.
$2,000 to The Poetry Committee. Two Fires Festival Braidwood for Poetry Stream of the Two Fires Festival - Festival of Arts & Activism, honouring the legacy of Judith Wright who lived in Braidwood. The project will promote poetry with a range of poets activities relevant to 2007 festival theme.
$1,000 to Wee Jasper P&C for Life is a Mosaic - A series of 3 workshops in mosaic techniques to give Wee Jasper students the skills to create a mosaic.
$1,000 to Weereewa - A Festival of Lake George Committee Inc. for Children's' sculpture workshop & performance for Concert in the Park on the final day of Festival - Children's' sculpture workshop & performance as part of The Concert in the Park on the final day of the Weereewa Festival. The sculpture workshops will be inspired by the theme of 'Disappearing Water' - a constant theme of Weereewa.

UPPER HUNTER
$2,900 to Gloucester Shire Youth Management Committee for Slippry Sirkus Youth Workshops - A series of circus skills workshops for young people, to be held in partnerships with the schools throughout April.
$1,040 to Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre for Youthsnaps - Four photography technique workshops including a field trip, for young people aged 12-18 years.
$1,722 to Scone Arts and Craft Inc for Winter Workshop Program - Series of three 2 day workshops with each workshop featuring a different visual art artist. Workshops to cater to the general community.
$820 to Scone District Pre-School for Young At Art - An artist in residence program for approx 16 hours over a 2 weeks period, to enhance the current program in craft, visual arts and sculpture.
$1,300 to Singleton Public Library for "Read to Succeed!" - Singleton Library presents John Larkin - Three literacy/author talks and workshops, with participation of targeted children from out-lying rural schools and the broader community.
$1,900 to Singleton Youth Programs (Singleton Council) for WasteMonsters - A series of eight sculpture workshops for young people using waste materials.
$1,500 to St Mary's Primary School for Playground Makeover! - A series of workshops with the children of St Mary's school focused on developing public art to enhance the school's playground.
$300 to Upper Hunter Library for "Coming Together" - Aboriginal Artists of the Upper Hunter - An exhibition of local aboriginal artists' work as part of the Denman Food and Wine Festival.
$3,000 to Upper Hunter Library for Write around the Upper Hunter - A series of half day literature workshops to be held at three local libraries over 4 to 5 days. The workshops will be in partnership with local bookstores and schools, with sessions being held for the general community and school children.

WEST DARLING
$1,190 to Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery for Brushman of the Bush, Artist talk - Travel and accommodation for John to return to Broken Hill for the official opening of The Brushman of the Bush exhibition and to guest lecture.
$1,750 to Broken Hill Writers' Centre for Poetic Performance - Performance/multimedia development workshop developing writing and performance skills to the Broken Hill Writers Centre.
$2,000 to Broken Hill Writers' Centre for Singing Stories - Indigenous song writing and storytelling workshops with local indigenous youth.
$2,982 to Broken Hill Writers' Centre for Writing our Own - Poetry workshops in three regional centres followed by a performance in each centre.
$2,960 to Wentworth Shire Council for The Art of a Flood - To commission artworks to complement "The Festival of the Flood" 50 year commemoration of the infamous floods of 1956.
$1,500 to West Darling Arts Inc for Research on Cultural Industry Development in and around Broken Hill - Research, asset mapping, and consultation with the cultural industries in and around Broken Hill, to identify and prioritise the needs for ongoing workforce and marketing development.
$2,100 to West Darling Arts Inc for MUNGO Palimpsest #6 - Mungo Festival will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Willandra Lakes World Heritage Area during September. Artists will be invited to create and install works of art within the Mungo landscape for the period of the festival.

$1,600 to Port Stephens Arts Council for Public Art at the Tilligerry Festival - Mosaic workshops as part of the Tilligerry Festival.
$2,350 to Purr Productions for ROAR - Ten theatre and voice workshops with women and children celebrating a life without violence. The workshops will be a devising tool that will result in a performance.
$1,500 to Samaritans Lower Hunter Youth Services for Master Class - To provide young people aged 12-25 in the Cessnock, Singleton and Muswellbrook LGA with the opportunity to enhance their stage and music skills through AUSmusic Master classes.
$1,000 to Wollemi Children's Creative Arts Committee for Winter Holiday Arts Workshops SIX - A series of visual arts and craft workshops over a two day period for young people between the ages of seven and seventeen.
