New Resources

FRANK– The 'wired awake' mag for young women
FRANK (meaning: honest, open, to the point) was created by Karen Miles, Katie Delaney & Jessica Kiely. A free virtual magazine, soon to move into print, FRANK is run wholly by a socially responsible company of volunteers who assist schools, universities, colleges, corporates and organisations to inspire and develop youth and adults. After working as a journalist for many years, Karen Miles dreamed a big dream in 1998…to create a magazine for young women that contained positive, attainable, genuine information about living a happy, healthy life. Forget dieting, models, celebrities, and stupid tips, Karen wanted the magazine to be about inspiration, real career advice, relationships, current affairs, and education. FRANK was born. Check it out and download the latest issue at www.youth2youth.com.au/frank.asp.

National Craft Mapping Project

Last Month Craft Australia launched the National Craft Mapping Project: Service provision for professional craft artists and designer/makers, a report on sustainability and skills development in the Australian craft and design industry. The report addresses the fine balance between makers' needs and infrastructure support provided by service organisations to ensure growth in the industry. An order form for your free copy of the report can be downloaded from the Craft Australia Website www.craftaustralia.com.au.
