Wallaga Lake Maternity Arts Project was a series of workshops using multimedia
art techniques with mothers, children and extended family, with the aim of linking

with parents, children, uncles and grandparents engaged, that the Southern East
Division of General Practice is very keen to implement a similar project from
Wallaga Lake to Eden as a part of an Indigenous health program in 2007. Gabrielle
and Jude were also invited to attend the Koori Women's Camp organised by Bega

produced a series of drawings depicting the human commitment to save Wentworth
from the flood; sculptor, Lyn Symes, created two tin 'Fergies' (grey Ferguson
tractors) and 'wearable' artist, Anne Hederics designed several textile art works
for the show. The exhibition was a highlight of the Festival activities and proved
so popular it was extended by a week. Local primary schools also contributed to
