Chair of Orana Arts, Aileen Bell, said, "Were pleased to have such
a skilled professional as Ms Moppett in the key role of RADO for Orana Arts. There
are often difficulties luring skilled arts workers to the bush, and we consider
ourselves very fortunate to be working with Ms Moppett."
Orana Arts can look forward to an exciting year ahead, working closely
with arts and community groups towards developing more vibrant and sustainable
communities in the region."
In her role as RADO, Ms Moppett will be working closely with communities in
the Warrumbungle Shire, Narromine, Dubbo and Gilgandra areas, based on the 2005-2006
Strategic Plan developed by the Orana Arts Board. The Strategic Plan focuses on
seven major projects over the next eighteen months including Art Start (the youth
arts festival, in conjunction with Arts Out West) and a tour of the theatre piece
for children, The Prospectors.
