Quick Response for nine new projects
17 December 2007
Northern
Rivers ceramicist, Ruth Park, travelled to China last month, thanks to a Quick
Response grant from Regional Arts NSW. Hers is one of nine projects funded in
the October to December quarter of the program announced by Regional Arts NSW
today.
The list of recipients for this quarter includes a mixture of individual artists
undertaking professional development opportunities both interstate and overseas
as well as community-based arts organisations taking advantage of highly-skilled
artists visiting their area. The projects represent an even spread across the
state and across a range of artforms - visual arts, music, literature, photography,
theatre, dance and storytelling.
The Quick Response Grants program provides assistance for regional NSW artists,
arts organisations and communities to take advantage of professional and project
development opportunities that present themselves at short notice. The funds are
provided through the Australian Government's Regional Arts Fund which is administered
by Regional Arts NSW in New South Wales.
