New RADO appointed for Upper Hunter

The Upper Hunter Arts Program today announced it has appointed
Ruth Neave as its new Regional Arts Development Officer. Ruth will
replace Andrew Parker who has taken up a position as cultural officer
for the Coffs Harbour City Council.
Ruth is an outstanding candidate for the RADO role. She has around
eighteen years professional experience in the arts and community
sector, and has been involved in a wide variety of projects. She
has worked for the Moreland City Council as project manager for
the Moreland Careers Expo; as project manager for Arts Management
Advisory Group and John Paxinos & Associates; and as community
music coordinator for the City of Whittlesea.
Ruth has also been a Board member of the Footscray Community Arts
Centre in Victoria and she is an accomplished singer and musician
(playing both bass and cell). A spokesperson for the Upper Hunter
Arts Program said today they felt they were "fortunate to have
her and look forward to her commencement.".
Ruth will be relocating from Victoria to Murrurundi to take up
the position of RADO on January 2 2002. She can be contacted after
